To testify this today we can admire the old pulled down houses built in stone, but also statues, columns and capitals, and other ancient objects, today in ruin, but rich of life and still suggestive.
Emporio della Pietra is a company that since two generations works the stone of our valleys. One time, the digging and the work of the stone was very difficult, but today thanks to new technological machines is possible to produce a big quantity in less time maintaining the same natural beauty of this precious and unique material.
Especially our production is direct in upkeep of the roads, built and restoring of squares, but also flooring and artistic realisations as for example fireplaces , columns, capitals, windows, fountains, tiling outdoor houses walls, and so on.
Our company is able to produce in few time big quantities of products, but it is specialized in work of the rare stone of our caves: the stone "albarese" called also " colombino".
Peculiarities of this stone are: atmospheric agent resistance, hardness and its particular colour grey-blue.
In our cave it is possible to digging other type of stones: the sandstone and the stone utilized to built mosaics.BR> The sandstone is tender and it is utilized to realize door and window frames, inner furnishing, fireplaces and stone paving.
With our stone we have realized building appreciated in all Italy, especially squares and restoring of ancient town centres.
