In Premilcuore the built-up area is dominated by the ruins of the old fortress. In side the old wall the medieval urban settlement is still conserved.
Around the Ricci square are the old palaces as Biondi-Pirelli one, built in between 1600 and 1700 and the Briccolani palace. Really interesting is the old clock tower, dated 1600.
The name Premilcuore is symbolized by two hands griping an hart, and in the town council palace take place the Museum of the local Flora and Fauna.
Environmental patrimony offers to the tourist many opportunities. Many paths branch off to the Appennino ridge offering an easy way to make walking tours ( as for example the Fiorentina way) discovering about the history of this area.
By choosing other more difficult paths it is also possible to rise, for example the top of Monte Falterona or to reach the Arno river sources by asking, if you desire, the aid of an official guide of Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Faterona, Campinga National Park.
The 10th of every August, during the magic night of S. Lorenzo, the quarter S. Lorenzo celebrates its Patron, in the main square and in particular around S. Lorenzo Church.
      In the Briccolani palace takes part the exhibition of the local artistic handicraft: it is possible to see old restored furnishings , furniture produced by the local handicraft shops, pots, objects realized in Pietra Serena, hand printed fabrics realized through an old work process, dried flowers compositions, and so on.
Chestnuts are a gastronomic occasion to visit the village , its old centre and the natural surrounding. The Chestnuts festival take part every Autumn and it is also a way to taste other local products and to discover the folklore typical of this area.
