On Bidente valley rise Santa Sofia resort divided by the river, the Bidente one. The country has developed it self around the main square Piazza Matteotti, place of festivals and markets. Many are the ancient blindings to visit as for example Giorgi palace. It was built at the end of XVII century and it is testimony of baroque architecture. Near by the Ss Crocifisso Church ( in the inner is preserved an ancient wood Crucified about 1400), rise the Council palace completely rebuilt n 1920/21 in neo-gothic style.
Along the main street, Viale Roma, in a building retorted at the beginning of 1900, take place an art Gallery dedicated to Vero Stoppini that preserves the artistic patrimony accumulated during the many editions of "Premio Campinga". The seat of National Park of Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona and Campinga is in the ex Nefetti hospital. Other surrounding places to visit are: Corniolo, with a characteristic botanic garden; Spinello, were rise the tourist sport centre "Sportilia"; Campigna, ski station; Ridracoli, little village near the Ridracoli dyke.
The water rain, filtered and decanted in the deep hart of National Park, flows to valley in rivers and streams but especially in Ridracoli dyke, one of the most important dyke of Europe. From here, the Ridracoli dyke water starts its run to any house of Romagna.
      The Foreste Casentinesi, Monte Falterona and Campigna National Park has an extension of 36.000 hectares. By crossing it by foot or by skiing you can prove the same psychic and physic experience when people were forced to use the same ways to cross the valleys. It is considered as mystic National Park for the presence of religious and spiritual centres as La Verana, Camaldoli and Sasso Fratino, the first Italian public reserve of 1959.
