TREDOZIO

In this territory, that develops it self in the valley floor of Tramazzo stream, has been discovered human settlement probably date back to Bronze Age.
Starting form the Prehistoric period we have testimony of human settlements in Tredozio.
In the second century B.C. Rome conquered these territories winning on the barbaric populations, and Romans remained to dominate the lands until the end of the Romanic Empire.
Afterwards Tredozio was submitted by exarchate of Ravenna, than it became property of Conti Guidi di Romea and Dovadola, as demostrated in the ancient documents of X century A.C..
From the XV century to the Italian Reign, Tredozio was property of Florence since 1923 when Mussolini submitted the resort to the Forlì province.
The village architecture reminds to the ancient town of Toscana, with building of 1700 but also of the Middle Age.
To visit: San Michele Church ( XII century), the Oratory of Piazza della Compagnia ( XVIII century ), the Bonaccorsi palace and the San Michele mill, built in XIV century. Not far from Tredozio rises the Santa Maria in Castello Church: here we can admire some finds date back to Bronze Age. Not less important are Annunziata convent, today seat of public activity, and the gardens of Fantini palace in whose inner there is a little museum of handicraft tools.
Tredozio offers to tourists who love mountains many trekking paths , discovering the new natural places as Ponte lake and wonderful woods.
Near Monte Busca is possible to see sources of sulphurous water and also little natural methane gas volcano..
